Language features paragraph

During our transcript, we use a variety of language features to get across what we were saying. Throughout the recording, we mostly used slang to help us understand what we were trying to say. For example, in our recording, one speaker says, “The floor is a wee bit wet but it’s like not wet aye?” By working through the sentence using different slang terms like ‘wee’ and ‘aye’, it shows that the speaker is comfortable with the person that he is talking to. The formalised version of this statement would be “The floor is a little bit wet bit it is not wet right?”
