Act 3 Scene 2

During this scene in Macbeth, many metaphors were used. One of them being “We have scorched the snake, not killed it. She’ll close and be herself whilst our poor malice remains in danger of her former tooth”. This quote from Macbeth stands out to me because it tells us that after what Macbeth has done, he’s not coping well with it and doesn’t feel as courageous and brave as he once did before. He does however carry on to say that he will be back to his former self and be what he once was again.
