Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre
The Globe theater was built in London in 1599. It was built by Shakespeare’s playing company, the Lord Chamberlain’s men on Thomas Brend’s land. The Globe theater was burnt in a fire on the 29th of June, 1613. However, a second globe theater was built and finished a year later on the same land but closed on the 6th of September, 1642. ‘Shakespeare’s Globe’ later on was created and meant to represent the original, it opened in 1997. It could not be built on the same exact land as the original but is still only 230 metres away.
